About six years ago I tried to buy a kiln for burning big bowls and dishes (about 1 meter in diameter), but I did not find any suitable kiln, nor could the manufacturers I contacted build one with my specifications. So I had to construct and build one myself. |
It took me about 6 months. I will show you some drawings of the kiln and some photos. It is an electric (30kW) fiber insulation kiln, made for burning one piece at a time. Of course you can burn many pots instead, but there is only one layer. I named the kiln "BIG". |
